Under the theme “symbiosis between nature and architecture", a sustainable design was adopted to harmonize with the forests of Karuizawa. The building layout plan was drawn up after researching the energy and vegetation of the land to minimise the felling of forest trees, and steel pipe piles were used to float the building and prevent damage to the forest ground. The steel-bolting method also allows the building to move and reuse in the future.

「自然と建築の共生」をテーマに、軽井沢の森に調和するサステナブルなデザインを採用。森の木の伐採を最小限に抑え、土地のエネルギーや植生をリサーチした上で建築の配置計画を立て、鋼管杭で建物を浮かせて森の地面を傷つけない工夫を採用した。また、鉄鋼ボルト工法により、将来的には建物の移動やリユースも可能。
