Béjaïa is an ocean town situated in the eastern part of Algeria. This project was a complete rebuild, demolishing the existing hotel to make way for a new one. The hotel stands among an olive grove covered cliff providing an unobstructed view of the ocean. Taking care not to disturb the surrounding olive grove, we proposed to furnish the balcony terraces located on each floor with local-conscious plants and an infinity pool. Embracing the theme of “forest and mountains”, this proposal concentrated on finding ways of healing not solely dependent on the ocean. That is why it is important to research the surrounding area.

アルジェリアの東部に位置する海の街べジャイア。ここで既存の古いホテルを解体し新しいホテルの計画でした。オリーブの森の崖に建つこのホテルは海が一望出来る環境にあります。周辺のオリーブ等の森には手をつけずに、各フロアのバルコニーのテラスに、土地を意識した植栽とインフィニティプールを計画し、「森と山」というテーマで海だけではないヒーリングを意識した提案をしました。そのために周辺環境のリサーチが大切です。
