project
Located on the shore of Nagara River, the building has a history of 400 years. Renovating this historic building which used to belong to a local magistrate, the client created a wedding venue. Having found the importance of creating a dramatic entrance to this historic building, we created a garden with a large artificial stone and mature trees, such as weeping willows along a moat. We also decorated the entrance with white stones and torches, which reflect the image of famous Cormorant fishing on the Nagara River. From the perspective of Fengshui, we left spacious room in its courtyard and merely beautified the space with green groundcover. This is to collect power in the middle of the venue which eventually spread to the whole site.
